Passion, sacrifice and collaboration: these are the precious ingredients at the basis of the Scottadito project, an idea of itinerant cuisine born in San Benedetto del Tronto in 2012. Willingness to work but traveling: so three friends, founders of the activity, decided to cross Italy aboard two Piaggio Ape used as mobile kitchens. Shortly everyone would have known and appreciated the exquisite proposals symbol of the street food of their territory: Olive Ascolane, Arrosticini and the fried fish.
The name Scottadito is not chosen at random: all the products offered are in fact cooked at the moment, served hot in the foil and consumed with the hands.
The secret of the success of the project, as the boys underline, derives from the choice of raw materials and suppliers: all products are handcrafted and purchased from local producers whose reliability is certain.
Since 2016, Scottadito has taken part in the most important events organized by Slow Food such as the Salone del Gusto / Terramadre, Slow Fish and Cheese. Present on the Gambero Rosso guide dedicated to street food since 2016 and in 2018 they win the Italian award for best food truck at the European Street Food Awards.
